Blackfoot in Education
Blackfoot’s community support motto is “Giving Back. Looking Ahead.” We look for ways to invest in the long-term success of our communities and are dedicated to supporting and providing educational opportunities for all ages. That’s why each year, Blackfoot contributes over $75,000 to educational endeavors. Looking ahead, we are excited to see the possibilities the future holds for today’s students.
Our support includes investments in three key areas:
- Scholarships: Blackfoot annually provides academic scholarships for students and funding for students to participate in the Foundation for Rural Service’s Youth Tour. We also administer a Student Connection Fund to help kids in need. Plus, we have information on other scholarships available to our members.
- Technology in Education: We support teachers and schools in our communities through several programs, including: The EEE Program, supplying classroom technology equipment; Blackfoot’s Library Grant Program; E-rate discounts for libraries and schools; and our $500,000 pledge to the new Missoula College.
- Member Learning: Blackfoot offers Easy Access free computer training for our Cooperative members.
