14th Annual FRS Youth Tour
Blackfoot Telephone Cooperative will again sponsor two local high school juniors to represent Western Montana on the Foundation for Rural Service (FRS) trip to Washington, DC. The 14th Annual FRS Youth Tour will bring approximately 100 students from across the country to the nation’s capital where they will experience first-hand the legislative and governmental processes that impact the telecommunications industry. They will visit Congress, the Federal Communication Commission, and other government agencies. Participants will also tour famous landmarks such as the Washington Monument, Smithsonian Institution, Lincoln Memorial, U.S. Capital, Arlington National Cemetery, Washington Cathedral, and the Supreme Court. Blackfoot covers all expenses incurred with the Youth Tour, which begins May 31 and ends June 4. If you are an interested high school junior and currently live in a Blackfoot Cooperative exchange, complete the following requirements and mail them to: Blackfoot Telephone Cooperative Attn: Mary Kelly – Youth Tour 1221 North Russell St. Missoula, MT 59808.
